Encourage your school or class to get involved in the Score Points for the Environment
during Keep Australia Beautiful Week.
By following the environmentally positive
activities listed in this section, your class will be helping to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions, waste to landfill and protect our natural resources.
Example activities to earn points at school include running a MobileMuster to recycle old or broken mobile phones, batteries and chargers, reusing and recycling empty printer cartridges through a local Cartridge World collection program, becoming an energy efficient and water-wise classroom, holding a zero waste lunch day at your school and much more.
Preschools and Primary Schools nationally that are registered with Scholastic Book
Clubs will receive a Teacher’s Resource Kit in July. 'A Create a Sustainable Garden'
competition is also being run as part of this so see further below for details as to how
your preschool or primary school can get involved.
